Hi everyone, as this meeting is going to be very short we are going to have to be very targeted and use a tight structure. The meeting will have a safe space policy in place which we ask everyone to respect , people who violate this will be asked to leave (we will post the Safe Space Policy on this blog asap). We are sorry that there wasn’t time to consult further on this, but the time was very tight. We encourage all groups and participants to write blogs with proposals which they will present at the meeting. Due to the size of the meeting, decisions will be made through majority votes.
The meeting will be in three main sections:
10: 45 Introduction and housekeeping
11:00-11:45 Discuss and vote on an overarching theme for the set of demands (eg. Stop privatisation, free and democratic universities)
11:45-12:30 Discuss and come up with proposals for template demands (these will be general ideas rather than exact wording, local groups will come up with their exact demands and wording)
12:30-12:45 Access break
12:45- 13:15 Ammend and vote on the proposals for demands
13:15- 14:00 Discuss an action plan for the rest of the year, based on the agreed demands.
14:00 - 14:30 Lunch break
